When you visit us at Zelman Meats, we want you to get the most out of your experience. We see steak as not just another ingredient, but the star of the show, and our mission is to pass on our passion and knowledge of all things carnivorous.

A big part of that is knowing your steaks; where on the animal they come from, their individual flavour notes and appeal, so that you make the best decision for your plate and palate.

We’ve travelled the globe to seek out the very best meats and bring them from pasture to plate - and that includes the mighty Scottish Tomahawk steak that packs a real punch of flavour. It’s one of the cuts that has made us famous - and why meat lovers keep coming back.

Best Tomahawk Steak In London

Before you order a Tomahawk, you’ll doubtless want to know what it is. It gets its name because the steak resembles the tomahawk axe; it’s an on-the-bone rib steak, cut from the fore rib with the entire rib bone, French trimmed, left on. It’s a big steak, a big statement - and packs a big flavour.

Enjoy it alone in all its glory, or ask for a tomahawk to be added onto your Zelman Plate, a cut of all the steaks we serve. It really is the best of everything. An amazing cut. So what is ‘everything’, you ask? What other meaty delights are to be had when you visit us?

We’ll guide you across the globe as you sample the pleasures of Picanha and the rapture of a Ribeye, as we travel (virtually) from the Scottish Highlands (where we source our Tomahawks) to the prairies of Alberta, where much of our beef comes from - our Fillet, Striploin, Ribeye and Picanha are all Spring Creeks AA+ Grade grain-finished beef from Canada.

Don’t forget our Lake District Farmers cuts, however; Cumbrian beef which is grass fed, finished on grain for the last 45 day and 30 days dry-aged. Opt for Bone in Ribeye or a fabulous Porterhouse.

Now we don’t mean to overload the senses, but once you’ve chosen your steak(s) (we won’t judge if you do go for more than one), there’s the small matter of navigating our drinks menu… #sorrynotsorry

Cocktails, mocktails, softs, beer and cider, wines and spirits - we’ve got all bases covered. Our cocktails are pretty special - such as our Old Fashioned ‘To The Bone’ (Beef Fat Washed Buffalo Trace Whiskey, Malbec Syrup, Celery Bitters), Bloody Mary Twist (Beef Fat Washed Buffalo Trace Whiskey, Tomato Juice, Mary Mix) and our Smoky Margarita (Corazon Blanco Tequila, Monte Alban Mezcal, Agave, Lime Juice, Apple Juice, Spicy Rib Rub).

The Mocktails pack a punch too when it comes to flavour - try our Zelman Lemonade, Red Passion or Spiced Apple Hit and you’ll see what we mean.

Wine is a great companion to food, especially when it comes to meat, so we’ve spent a great deal of time ‘researching’ our wine list - hard work, but someone’s gotta do it…

The perfect ‘meating’ place

The capital’s a big ol’ place, but tracking down the best Tomahawk steak in London is easy - as is finding Zelman Meats. We’re pretty central, in Knightsbridge, at the junction of Knightsbridge and Sloane Street, with the likes of Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Belgrave Square and Buckingham Palace all within walking distance.

Coming by London Underground? Knightsbridge tube station is just two minutes away by foot, while Hyde Park Corner is a mere five-minute walk.

On the bus, we’re well connected; a myriad of bus routes pass by the door - 9, 10, 14, 19, 22, 52, 74, 137, 414, 452, C1.
