Westminster - the centre of the UK government; Trafalgar Square; the changing of the guards at Horse Guards Parade; Westminster Abbey, resting place of the likes of Charles Darwin - so much to see.
As you hear the chimes of Big Ben ring out, it’s quite often a reminder that you’re in need of food - and you’re in search of some great places to eat in Westminster.
No need for a parliamentary debate or a vote - Zelman Meats is the clear winner.
Food, glorious food
If, like us, you’re a passionate steak lover, we speak your language. We’re called Zelman Meats for a reason; we’re all about a selection of the very finest steaks and meats prepared and cooked by fanatical chefs. It’s a shared animal instinct which brings us together, when we can help you feast on a mouthwatering menu of delights. We have a variety of halal option a available.
Kick off with one of our incredible starters Roasted Bone Marrow, Tiger Prawn Tempura, creamy Burrata with heirloom tomatoes, Beef Carpaccio or Lobster Croquettes.
Of course meat is the main event - whether that’s Holstein grass-fed fillet beef from Poland, or our trio of Grain finished Angus beef from Alberta - Picanha, Rib-eye or Sirloin. Can’t decide? Don’t worry - just ask for the Zelman Plate, which is every cut on a single plate to share. The only other decisions to make are which sauce - peppercorn, BBQ, chimichurri or sriracha mayo - and which sides; black truffle & parmesan chips, superfood salad, paprika roasted cauliflower, triple cooked chips, roasted heirloom carrots… and that’s just a selection.
Aside from steaks, we have a beautiful Seabass fillet served with crushed potatoes, tenderstem broccoli and butter sauce, or there’s the Zelman Wagyu Burger - 180g Chilean Wagyu patty, sriracha burger sauce, cheddar, crispy onions, pickles and triple cooked chips. Sounds amazing, right? It is.
Wet wet, wet
When you’re seeking out restaurants near Westminster, it shouldn’t be just the food menu that you run an eye over; the drinks selection is every bit as important, in our opinion at least. Yes, there needs to be some great wines, but our drinks menu needs to feature everything from cocktails to mocktails, soft drinks to beer and cider. Ours delivers on all counts.
Zelman cocktails are something special; Zelman Daiquiri, Figgin’ Thyme, our famous Old Fashioned ‘To The Bone’ and Tropical Manhattan are just a few of the temptations.
No alcohol doesn’t mean no fun or flavour - our Mocktails such as Zelman Lemonade, Amalfi Spritz, Fig Temptation and Blueberry Martini all pack a punch in terms of taste if not booze.
The wine list is as good as you’d expect to match the food, with wines from across the globe - from Sussex to South Africa, Australia to Argentina, be it red, white or rosé.
Just fancy a cold beer? We’ve got your back with brews from Meantime, Forest Road Work and Lucky Saint (a fab non-alcoholic number) and our Sassy Cidre Brut.
