Spoilt for choice

If you only eat halal, then Zelman Meats should definitely be on the list; halal options are available on all the key steak cuts - including the delicious beef carpaccio starter, which is served with parmesan, crispy shallots and balsamic. When it comes to the main course, all of ‘The Cuts’ are halal.

So what are the halal steak options at Zelman? There’s a trio of terrific Canadian cuts to choose from - all grain-finished Angus beef from the prairies in Alberta. There’s Picanha - a cut first popularised in Brazil (sometimes called rump cap), which is wonderfully tender; if you like a little more marbling fat for a fuller flavour, then the Rib-eye is what you’re seeking. The Fillet is the juiciest, most tender cut you’re likely to eat.

Last but by no means least, the lean and juicy Striploin from Australia is grain-finished Hereford & Angus Aberdeen Black - whichever halal steak option you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Want to take the flavours to another level? Then order one of the optional sauces - sriracha mayo, chimichurri, peppercorn or BBQ.
